Our Sunday morning greeters are the first faces visitors and members see upon arrival each week.  This role is vital in creating an inviting atmosphere where all feel welcome.

Each Sunday, FBC provides transportation to church before Sunday school and home after the worship service to those who need travel assistance.

Note:  You are NOT required to have a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) to drive the FBC bus.

FBC is comprised of multiple teams to help meet the needs of others as we strive to serve God and build a beloved community.  Please check all the ministry teams where you feel able or called to serve or those areas where you would like more information.

Believing the primary responsibility of the deacon body is to care for the Body of Christ, the Deacon Ministry Teams were developed to help meet the needs of First Baptist Church congregants. These teams are led by current FBC Deacons, but all are welcome to serve on them.

Education: Provides assistance to struggling students who require attention to succeed in school. Mentors students of parents/ custodians who work multiple jobs, are single-parent households, or face other struggles, such as disabilities or language barriers, and help these parents advocate for their children.

Transportation: Provides rides to medical and dental appointments, the grocery, pharmacy, and other necessary locations the church member needs to go.

Technical Services: Provides assistance with computers, iPads, laptops, phones and other electrical or battery-operated items requiring technical knowledge.

Homebound Care: Makes monthly contact with those in homebound, long-term care facilities, or in the hospital by visiting, calling, texting, or sending cards and letters of encouragement.

Household Chores: Provides assistance with basic chores both inside and outside the home.

Medical Appointment Assistance: Attends doctors’ appointments to help members retain and understand information provided by medical personnel.
